Children learn best if learning is more like playing—and they do it with family.

For generations, storytime has drawn families together. Children enter wondrous worlds of language, pictures, and new knowledge. They are brought closer together with family members, forming and sharing memories. Yet with every introduction of new technology from books to movies to tablets, the way children enjoy stories changes, however their desire for a shared experience, to have fun and to learn remains.
Children born in this age are “digital natives”; they are the Touch-Screen Generation. Compared to past generations, these digital natives are exposed to much more knowledge. However, they are also surrounded by endless media: YouTube videos and mindless games, which may not do them much good. Worse, some media can be so addictive that young people isolate themselves from family.
FamLoop is on a mission to create new storytelling experiences for the digital generation. By applying the Love+Play+Learn philosophy originally proposed by the renowned child psychologist David Elkind, we want to create new storytime experiences for the modern family. We know it’s not a task we can achieve alone, and so we want you to join us on this meaningful journey!

We love a good story. And good stories are not only entertaining, they bring families closer together. That's what we're about.

We are a diverse group of educators, entrepreneurs, designers, engineers and parents based in Hong Kong, London and New York.
What brings us together is that we are all kids at heart and we want to make a difference in the world.
We see smartphones and tablets as more than a babysitter.
They can be a powerful medium to tell a story, to learn, and to help parents connect with their children.

We're always exploring new ideas—and we want to share them with you.
